[Podcast] El trabajo de las reformas
Trabajar es un derecho, una necesidad, un deber, pero debería ser un placer, finalmente todas las personas trabajan y lo han hecho desde siempre, realizar actividades ha permitido el mismo desarrollo de la humanidad a lo largo de toda la historia; otro asunto es recibir un salario y estar contratado para realizar una labor, oficio o tarea determinada, ¿será entonces bajo esa modalidad contractual, cuando en realidad somos trabajadores?; y es en ese escenario de horas de actividades pagas que hace cerca de 137 años se viene exigiendo y conmemorando esa lucha por un tiempo y un salario justo cada primero de mayo, como dice un adagio popular entonces: ‘a quien trabaja no le falta su paga’, pues esta actividad tan natural como ser humanos, debe igualmente ser justa y digna y ello implica seguir luchando por horarios y remuneraciones acordes a la a misma actividad, ese es el verdadero trabajo que hay detrás de todas esas reformas.
Seguramente hoy se han dado cita en las principales ciudades de nuestro país, las diferentes agremiaciones de trabajadores para marchar por la reivindicación de sus derechos, y sí, en Colombia como en muchas partes del mundo trabajar es complejo, a veces o casi siempre mal pago, con horarios extenuantes que se vuelan todas las jurisprudencias, muchos trabajan desde siempre y ni siquiera tienen garantizada su seguridad social y todos los beneficios que deben cobijar a los trabajadores: salud, pensión, vacaciones, primas, horas extras, bonificaciones, reconocimientos, mejor dicho, acciones que reflejen lo duro que es realizar una labor diaria, no pretendo hablar de cifras, porque el Estado desde su mirada siempre tiene un dato para argumentar sus decisiones, y cuando se sale a la calle y se observa al ciudadano común, lo que vemos es un escenario de oficios, ocupaciones, labores, emprendimientos, actividades que se realizan por cuenta propia y que nunca aparecen reflejadas en los datos, o que para argumentar los indicadores de ocupación, los incluyen como ‘trabajo informal’, y desde ese imaginario se considera que están realizando bien su labor, aunque generalmente estos ‘trabajos’, se realizan en detrimento de sus derechos. Es por ellos que hoy se debe conmemorar, marchar, recordar y validar esta fecha como su día, para que en un futuro cercano verdaderamente puedan gozar de los beneficios que el ser trabajadores les confiere, y que el estado y la sociedad misma los reconozca como tal, mejor dicho, seguir en la lucha por sus reformas, debe ser por eso que otro adagio dice, ‘lo que más trabajo cuesta, más dulce se muestra’.
Hoy retomo mi columna y estas palabras se las dedico a todos esos trabajadores que han sido vulnerados, no reconocidos, mal remunerados, aquellos que quizá han entregado hasta su vida por cumplir con su labor, a aquellos que han trabajado siempre para que los demás también puedan disfrutar de sus derechos y hasta descansar por su trabajo, a los trabajadores que no les importa el horario, así a partir de este 15 de julio comience la jornada de 47 horas semanales, pero nunca han sabido que es trabajar 8 horas diarias, a todas las familias, hombres, mujeres, sin distingo de raza, credo, orientación y hasta edad que a diario trabajan y construyen su vida con la honestidad de sus quehaceres, a mis estudiantes que se forman en un profesión con el fin de trabajar en lo que aman, como lo he podido hacer yo durante mis cerca de 40 años laborales y los que espero me falten, ¡ah! y a Juan mi Jefe de Redacción que es un apasionado trabajador incansable.
